[May 13, 2025] KG Mobility (https://en.kg-mobility.com/, hereinafter “KGM”) announced that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with Australia’s prestigious AFL club, Collingwood, as part of its strategic effort to strengthen brand recognition and expand sales in the Australian market. This follows the company’s recent invitation of top Australian dealers to its Pyeongtaek headquarters in April.
Founded in 1892, Collingwood Football Club is one of the most iconic teams in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club holds a tie record for the most championships in AFL history with 16 premiership titles and boasts the league’s largest membership base, with over 120,000 registered members.
AFL, a unique blend of football and rugby, is one of Australia’s most popular professional sports leagues.
Through this three-year sponsorship agreement (from the 2025 season through 2027), KGM expects to strengthen its brand presence in the Australian market. The partnership will include in-stadium branding, vehicle promotions during AFL matches, and digital marketing content featuring players, thereby driving both brand value and vehicle sales.
Australia continues to experience strong growth in the SUV and pickup truck segments, which aligns with KGM’s product focus. In addition, the country’s EV market is expanding rapidly due to increased consumer demand and improvements in charging infrastructure—making Australia a key growth opportunity for KGM.
The Rexton Sports (export name: Musso) has been well-received in the local market, recently earning the “Car of the Year 2025” title from Australia’s leading automotive media outlet, Drive, for the second consecutive year in the pickup category, further validating KGM’s product competitiveness.
Since the launch of its first overseas direct sales subsidiary in Australia in 2018, KGM has consistently expanded its presence and sales in the market. The company has set a target of exporting 7,000 units to Australia in 2025.
